Erick Crouthamel wanted to build a BRX. He came to Bill Goad who has a lot of experience with the BRX and armed with advice and a Premier Accuracy action he produced this beautiful rifle. Check out those rings too. Erick made them himself from titanium.
Erick did an excellent job on his rifle and especially the stock. We have to talk about this stock. He made and finished it entirely himself in his personal shop. He laminated several types of wood to get extra strength. A nice wide for-end was added to keep the rifle from twisting in the bags and the bottom of the butt stock was shaped to fit his rear bag exactly. This rifle tracks very well and Erick has results to prove it.
So what is tracking? Its the line the rifle follows as it recoils. The average rifle will recoil about 0.100in before the bullet leaves the barrel. That means if it recoils differently each time it will place shots different each time. That is why Erick’s good stock with excellent tracking characteristics is important.
Erick is very grateful to Bill for all the advice he gave him. Bill showed Erick just how to set up his dies, properly size and load for his 6mm BRX. Bills Premier Accuracy Shooting School helped Erick a lot and he recommends Bill's school to anyone who wants to take their shooting to the next level. Armed with all of this, Erick was able to place second in the 2016 South Fork Varmint Match. He shot very well and we are really happy for him and hope to see him shooting more matches soon with his 6mm BRX.
